Corinna is one of more than 400 employees at redi-Group GmbH Germany, and works in the Quality and Logistics Centre in Taucha.
»Corinna Görtz, Assistant to the Branch Manager at the redi-Group Quality and Logistics Centre in Taucha.«
»As Assistant to the Branch Manager in Taucha, it is my job to ensure that the day-to-day business runs successfully with regard to administrative tasks, as well coordinating, organising and preparing procedures. So the compliance of processes or internal arrangements is paramount. With my active involvement in the day-to-day business, I always pursue a continuous improvement process to focus more on effectiveness and sustainability.
One of my favourite specific functions is assisting within personnel management. I get to be empathetic and completely indulge my joy in interacting with staff. Many different things are part of my remit, from job interviews and performance reviews, creating presentation materials and organising events to scheduling holidays and personnel.«
»I particularly like the varied and diverse range of tasks in my daily work. I get a detailed general impression of business processes within the branch, and I’m always able to weigh in with my ideas and recommendations on administrative or operational topics. In many respects, I am able to shape topics or work out visions myself.
Additionally, the team spirit is really important here. There’s laughter, people having discussions, plans being drawn up and approved – for me there’s always a reason to be happy to come to work!«
»As is the case with many other roles, my role requires a certain amount of flexibility – mentally, and in terms of time and where you are. From one moment to the next, I have to be able to immerse myself in a different topic, react to it, and then act. Being able to prioritise and reorientate the items on my to-do list every day is important. Deadlines have to be adjusted, rescheduled or rearranged. A strong talent for organisation and coordination is required to minimise constraints as much as possible.«
»Before being recruited by redi-Group GmbH, I worked for many years as a team leader at an auditing firm. There I built, led, controlled, monitored and supervised a team in the finance department, and also supported auditors throughout Germany in auditing annual accounts. I was qualified for this job as I trained as a bank clerk.
I also have a year’s experience as a personnel officer at a temporary employment agency, where employees were also recruited, supervised, developed and coached.«
»I am convinced that you could do my current job without my background. With regard to my special tasks in personnel management, my previous knowledge and wealth of experience have been of great benefit to me. But someone who is enthusiastic and willing to learn could learn to do the majority of my tasks independently, as that’s also how I was able to grow into the various subject areas and learn.«
