»On my business card it says Sourabh Lokare, Quality and Project Management, redi-Group Munich.«
»In the Quality Optimization department I work together with many different suppliers and customers from the automotive industry every day. That means that I get lots of technical tasks sent my way. It also means that cultural aspects play an important role in my job. That’s because I operate in a multicultural environment, and it’s a lot of fun.«
»First of all, I love my work environment. Right from the beginning, my colleagues and everyone else that I have met at redi-Group have always been really helpful and accommodating. That really inspired me and motivated me in my job. The work flexibility and work culture also helped me to grow in my job. My daily routine at work is very exciting because I know that my work is influencing the future of the industry a little bit. And doing my bit for the future is something that keeps me going and motivates me every day.«
»You have to travel a lot as a quality engineer. That can be stressful sometimes, but you always have an exciting challenge ahead of you. The stress that rises up always turns straight into anticipation and curiosity for fantastic new projects.«
»I was born and raised in Pune, India. That’s where I did my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering straight after school. After my bachelor’s I still wanted to deepen my knowledge, and so I decided to do a master’s degree in International Business and Engineering in Heidelberg, Germany. Before I came to redi-Group, I was able to gain my first experiences of the German automotive industry thanks to an internship placement at Porsche AG and as a master’s student at WABCO. These experiences didn’t just help me with technical issues, they helped me with cultural ones too.«
»I think that as a service provider, it’s difficult to get into the automotive industry without any theoretical knowledge or training. But if you have enough interest, »learning by doing« teaches you a lot. Having the will and being self-motivated play a significant role here. That’s why I think you could do my job even if you’ve been trained in something else. That’s because, at the end of the day, quality is an extremely complex topic.«
